Between 2001 to July 2004, I worked for Crescent
Arts, (Scarborough’s longest running contemporary, artists run
gallery), WEA, Yorkshire Coast College, Eventus, the University of Hull,
York St. John and many other organisations and agencies. I have planned
and delivered sessions with people of all ages, including arts workshops
in schools and long term projects designed to creatively engage local
community members in the regeneration of their local areas. I have also
taught more formal classes and courses such as life drawing, art history
and fine art to under graduate art students, A level students and adults
returning to learning.
I
was the Arts Centre Manager at St James Community Arts Centre, Scarborough
where I initiated a gallery space as well as many community arts based
workshops. Currently I am working from home and am tutoring, part time
at Yorkshire Coast College due to the arrival of my daughter, Hannah,
in October ‘05
